I'm Erika,
I was born and raised in Houston, TX with my parents and four siblings. In 2020, I married my high school sweetheart (shoutout to the pandemic brides), and now we reside in Dallas with our dog, June! I adore all things antique and vintage, which is probably why anyone who visits our home says it feels like “a cozy grandma’s house.” I started traveling with my love in 2017, and quickly developed a passion for seeing as much of the world as possible. The Office is my comfort show, Taylor Swift has provided the soundtracks for my entire life, and I've been told my photos, "feel like a Caamp song sounds." Best. Compliment. Ever.
The value I hold most dear in life is empathy; to not only hear what others say but to resonate with how they feel and why. I am no wallflower when it comes to your moment. And the best part? Everything about photography allows me to embrace
these things, and so much more!

At E. Photography, I photograph love stories that nourish the sentimental heart. From my hometown in Texas to destinations around the world, I take a photo journalistic approach to capturing your one-in-a-million romance. By encouraging you to be your unposed, authentic self, we will capture the joy and confidence that will radiate from your photos for years to come. From our first meeting over coffee to long after your gallery is delivered, I will be there to advocate for you and cheer you on every step of the way. So whether we are flying across the country for your elopement or driving to the spot where you had your first date, kids in tow, you can count on me to bring the champagne, carry the veil, or say, “Y’all are so precious!” a dozen times. Why I do it
I could say that photography started as a mere hobby, but I was all in from the start. I picked up my first camera the in 5th grade, and would force my friends into portrait sessions or spend hours outside with a camera. After covering my first wedding in 2017, I realized that capturing beautiful stories is my purpose. I love photographing moments as they unfold, some otherwise unseen by the natural eye. I have learned that memories are priceless, and nostalgia best manifests in an image. Above all, I love people. How you met, what you adore about one another, the personal touches of your wedding day; all of these things reveal insight to your modern love story, and help me to capture it best. Because to know someone is more than just memorizing their characteristics. For me, it's all about shared vulnerability, empathy, and authenticity. That's how we nourish real, human connections; and that's why I capture love stories.
